Simply put, no. To achieve the price point for Zero Frills & bundle in the benefits for the Performance Plan, we’ve had to make sure we balance everything perfectly. Trust us though, the Performance Plan benefits are amazing & well worth the extra investment. If you have more questions about what is included, just jump on a chat with our team today.
Actual throughput speeds may be slower and could vary due to many factors including type/source of content being downloaded, hardware and software configuration, the number of users simultaneously using the network and performance of interconnecting infrastructure not operated by TPG. Devices connected by Wi-Fi may experience slower speeds than those connected by Ethernet cable. For FTTB and FTTN customers, we will inform you of your maximum line sync speed once available. If you are on a higher speed NBN plan, you have the option to downgrade to a lower speed plan without any penalties
FTTP, FTTN, FTTB, FTTC, HFC, Fixed Wireless and Satelite. To see a more detailed explaination of each type of nbn, see our page here. To check what type of nbn you have, visit the nbn Co. website here.

If your address is tagged as a new development by nbn, you will need to pay $300 for the installation or activation. With 10mates you can choose to pay that upfront or pay it off each month. On a 12 month contract you would pay an additional $30 per month, on a 24 month contract you would pay an additional $15 per month. Obviously if you were to cancel the contract you would still need to pay the remaining new development fee plus any other charges that apply.
During an electrical outage, a UPS is used to keep your wifi/network running for a few hours. Your laptops and mobiles have batteries so they are ok, if you also want to plug a desktop computer in, that will decrease the time quite a lot. 10mates can supply you with an APC BR1200GI and the expansion battery is an APC BR24BPG for a fee.
