How to set up TP-Link Deco for nbn FTTP
You’ll need to plug in your modem and change some settings to get it working with 10MATES nbn FTTP.
-
First, make sure you’ve got a message from us asking you to plug in your nbn modem. We need to get your connection ready on our side before you plug in.
-
Find your nbn Connection Box (NCB) – this is usually installed on the inside of an exterior wall in your home, sometimes in the garage. Unplug any old modem from the nbn Connection Box and power outlet.
-
Use the power cable to connect your modem’s Power port to a power outlet and turn it on.
-
Use the Ethernet cable to connect one of your modem’s Ethernet ports to your NCB’s UNI-D1 port.
The message from us will tell you if you need to use a different UNI-D port. -
Scan the QR code below or go to Google Play or the Apple App Store to install the Deco app.
-
Make sure Bluetooth is turned on for the phone or tablet running the Deco app.
-
Open the Deco app and use your TP-Link ID to log in.
Don’t have a TP-Link ID? Select Sign Up and follow the prompts to create an account. -
Wait for the app to link to your modem, then assign your modem to a room.
-
Make sure PPPoE is selected.
-
Set a WiFi Network name and a Password, then connect your devices to the WiFi using these details.
-
In the Deco app, tap More, then Advanced.
-
Tap IPv4 and make sure it says PPPoE.
-
Turn off “Ignore Ping from WAN” and then exit the app.
-
You’re now good to go.
